Hard disk drives (HDDs) are mainly useful for storing masses of data. As they are mechanical, they are slower than SSDs, but come in larger sizes for cheaper.
Internal drives come in two main form factors: 3.5in, for use in desktop PCs, and 2.5in, normally for laptops. Hard Drives are ideal if you intend to store a large amount of raw data, music, videos, pictures and older smaller games as their speed doesn't make a difference to performance.
